Amy Flynn - Choreographer

Amy has been dancing, singing and acting since the age of 3, attending Janet Marshall Dance Studios and taking part in numerous amateur theatre productions until the age of 18, when she moved to Chiswick with a 3 year Dance and Drama Award to attend Arts Educational School of Musical Theatre. On the course, she was involved in performances of 'Pippin', 'Westside Story’, 'The Diary of Anne Frank' and 'Patience'. In her third year, Amy was in the production of 'The Pirates of Penzance' as one of the Generals' daughters and in 'The Secret Garden' as the understudy for Lily and a member of the ensemble.

In her showcase, Amy performed at The Criterion Theatre Piccadilly and finished her third year at Arts Ed. playing the lead role of Julie Jordan in 'Carousel'. She graduated from Arts Ed. on the Musical Theatre Degree Course in 2007, signing with her agent from the ‘BWH Agency’. Amy has performed in 'Sondheim's 75th Birthday Gala' at Drury Lane and workshopped a new musical based on the story of Florence Nightingale. Amy also took part in the filming of a documentary for the BBC and she was involved as a dancer in the Horse Show Olympia. Amy has worked for ‘UK Productions’ as ensemble and the understudy for Tommy in 'Dick Whittington’.

Amy then moved back to Cheltenham to pursue a career in teaching, gaining her Diploma in Dance Education in Ballet, Tap and Modern. She is enjoying working as a freelance dance teacher throughout the Cotswolds for a number of schools. Amy has also worked as a choreographer for shows recently including ‘Aladdin’ and ‘Midsummer Nights Dream’, events such as ‘The Air Tattoo’ and is currently working on a production of ‘Macbeth’. Amy has thoroughly enjoyed working with Stage Experience choreographing ‘Fame’.
